Essential BA

You’ve chosen one of our “Software Solutions” and now you need to put it to work with good effect.

Our Essential Business Architecture is an introductory course on the subject of Business Architecture and the perfect choice for those clients who need to understand the business thinking behind how our “Software Solutions” were scoped, designed, configured and the proven approach for how they might be modified and extended in future.

In this 2-day course participants will learn:

  • the essential concepts of Business Architecture (BA)
  • about the body of documentation available as part of the BA
  • about the resources, standards and conventions employed
  • how to map and use business processes in the context of a process-led BA
  • the BA scope of our “Baseline Solutions” and how they relate to other functional areas
  • about the value-led design of new business processes in the context of BA
  • how a BA is translated to real-world activities and systems (e.g. OpenERP)
  • how BA sits within and provides critical support to major business change initiatives
  • about available help desk and support offerings and how they can add value and peace-of-mind

Each course participant will have access to their own PC and will learn through a combination of lecturing and hands-on doing as overseen by our highly qualified instructors.

This is an entry-level course so there are no prerequisites to attend. We recommend that participants attend this course in preparation for modifying or extending one of our “Software Solutions” to meet additional existing or new business requirements, particularly if doing so in the context of a major business change initiative.

The course will be hosted at our premises and will include most of the materials and equipment required to complete the course. However, each participant must bring their own PC with which they can access our systems. The PC must have the following minimum hardware and installed software profile:
